What alternatives are there to dental veneer?
When your dentist in one of our dental clinics in Poland discusses veneers, it is common for them to recommend instead to opt for dental crowns procedure. They are about the same price, but last longer. This is dependent on the preferences you choose. A natural coloured filling material could be used to perform small repairs. This is not an absolute solution for broken teeth, it does not work well in broken corners.
Is it worth to get teeth veneers in Poland?
Definitely! It is a great opportunity with the highest quality dental service, and to save money to get veneers in Poland. We offer dental veneers in Warsaw and teeth veneers Krakow and in our other locations in Poland.
How are teeth being prepared for teeth veneers?
In order to ensure that the veneer can possibly be bonded in place permanently, a section of the outer enamel surface could be removed. Only a very small amount which will only be the same thickness as the to be fitted veneer, of the enamel surface is removed. This ensures the final result of the patient having the same sized tooth after the treatment. Upon request of the patient to prevent discomfort, they can state in their preferences whether they want to receive local anaestetic (Injection). As soon as the tooth is prepared a mould, impression is taken by the dentist. This mould is then sent to the laboratory and once there used to perform a veneer. A shade guide is used to match the exact colour of the teeth veneer to that of the patients natural teeth giving an overall natural look.
How long does a veneer installation take?
No less than two visits are required to install a veneer. Visit 1 is for preparation of the tooth, finding the correct shade. Visit 2 is when the actual fitting takes place. Prior to the veneer being bonded in position, the dentist will present to you in place to demonstrate how it will appear to check you are satisfied with it. A special adhesive is used to achieve a firm bonding of the veneer to the tooth.
Is a temporary veneer needed between visits?
No. Temporary veneers are not needed as the preparation stage is so short. Once the preparation is complete, the tooth can feel slightly less smooth, but it will look much the same as before.
What happens once the veneer has been installed?
As soon as a teeth veneer has been fitted, only minor adjustments are possible. It is advised that some time is given before making any changes. It is common for your dentist to want to inspect and polish your veneer about a week after it being fitted to be sure you are satisfied. This is optional, and the patient is not obliged to do this.
How long does a teeth veneer last?
Veneers can be broken or chipped the same like natural teeth can, but should last for many years. You will receive instructions from our dentist as every individual veneer is unique, and the dentist will tell you how long it should last. Minor chips are possible to fix and if necessary replace it with another veneer.
